Abstract
Mu Chapter of Alpha Beta Alpha Newsletter, May 1, 1977. Illinois State Normal University library science faculty member Eunice Speer organized her students into a club called The Milnerites in 1950. The Milnerites applied to join Alpha Beta Alpha, a national library science co-educational fraternity for undergraduate students, in 1955 and became the Mu chapter thereof on February 25, 1956. ISNU began printing The Alphabet, Alpha Beta Alpha's national newsletter, when Speer assumed the role of executive secretary in fall 1960. This honor moved to Millersville State College (Millersville, Pennsylvania) in 1965.
