Jeffers Studies, a publication of the Robinson Jeffers Association, is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal publishing research, analyses, and documents that explore the work and career of the American poet Robinson Jeffers (1887-1962). The journal seeks to enrich our understanding Jeffers’ poetry, its historical and cultural significance, and its contemporary relevance by presenting research that places Jeffers in range of contexts, including (but not limited to) the literature of science, environmental studies, literature and religion, literature of the American West, and modern poetry and poetics. The journal welcomes the full range of current approaches and practices that reflect contemporary theory and priorities, approaches that draw on the tradition of close reading, and experimental approaches to scholarship and critical discourse.
